We have JUST arrived in Casablanca's port! Jena and I got up around 5:30 am, and headed out onto the deck to watch the sunrise and our entrance into the port. As we approached the city, the Hassan mosque came into view. It is situated right on the coast, and truly is a thing of beauty. Amdist the hustle and bustle of the smoke stacks, fishing boats, and port workers, the mosque provided a very serene view. As we hit the waters very close to the shore, everyone started yellling, "Dolphins!" It was as if they were welcoming us to Morocco; there were about 8 or 9 of them, swimming alongside the boat. It was all so surreal; I still can't believe we are here. In an hour we have a diplomatic briefing, and then we will be getting off the ship. Adventures and stories soon to come; stay tuned!
